Harlequin Café and Wine Bar is owned and run by native Italians Alessandro Lopez and Simone Giorgi who offer mouth-watering Italian recipes each Monday through to Saturday.
They insist on using only authentic Italian ingredients and the result is high quality, delicious Italian food which is offered at hugely competitive prices.
The location is perfect for city centre shoppers or workers looking for a bite to eat, morning through to evening.
Indeed, the premises is a little piece of Italy in the heart of Waterford and if you haven’t stumbled across it already, you’d be well advises to check it out as a priority! At the Harlequin Café, you can begin the day with typical Italian croissant and cappuccino, or something else from the traditional Italian range… what better way to prepare yourself for the day ahead.
For lunch, the extensive menu offers something for everyone. The homemade Italian soups are mouth-watering or you can opt for a Panini and focacce with a host of fillings.
There’s also, meanwhile, a selection of daily specials, each made to traditional Italian recipes.
In the evening, the ambience at Harlequin changes. There’s candlelight and soft music to create a relaxing setting, perfect for either a romantic night out or a meal with family or friends.
Again, here’s a great selection of fantastic meals on offer and you can also choose from the extensive selection of exclusive Italian wines. However, the secret of Harlequin Café, the owners insist, is not the creamy cappuccino, exceptional wines, competitive prices or indeed the romantic and relaxing night time atmosphere.
According to Alessandro and Simone, it is the warm ambience that you experience at any time of the day that makes this premises unique. Harlequin Café opens from opens from 8.30am to 8.30pm Monday to Wednesday, 8.30am to 10.30pm on Thursday and Friday and from 9.30am to 10.30pm on Saturday.
